About Us
Groundwork Devon & Cornwall
Plymouth Area Groundwork Trust began working across the Plymouth 'travel to work area' in 1991. This covered South East Cornwall and South Devon. The Trust (now known as Groundwork Devon & Cornwall) has since expanded to work in the two counties. Our Torquay office opened in 2000.
We have been delivering organised sports activities and events for the past 3 years and, with our expanding expertise, have just branched out into inflatable and events hire.
It is our main focus that you have fun using the inflatables or attending the events. You should also be proud to know you will also be giving something back to the community as all profits made go back to supporting and developing community projects in Torbay.
Groundwork Devon & Cornwall's ethos is to support and develop communities already recognised as experiencing economic deprivation and social disadvantage.
We have been continuously recognised as an Investor In People since 1996 and became accredited to BS8555 in 2007, demonstrating our commitment to both our staff and the environment. Copies of our Environmental Policy and Equal Opportunities Policy are available on request. We also use the Business Excellence Through Action (BETA Plus) model to measure and improve the quality of our organisation and activities.
Last year Groundwork Devon & Cornwall:
· supported nearly 190 projects
· actively involved over 6,000 people in projects
· improved over 33 hectares of land
· maintained 107 hectares of land
· planted over 2,100 trees
